The Southeast Asia Bioethics Network and GFBR hosted a workshop on January 22-23, 2024, in Malaysia, focusing on the ethical oversight of AI-driven health research in LMICs.

The Public Forum on Ethics and AI Health Research convened on 24th January 2024, at the Tun Mohamed Suffian Auditorium, Faculty of Law, Universiti Malaya, under the moderation of Dr. Dan O'Connor, Head of Research Environment at Wellcome Trust, London. Dr. O'Connor skillfully facilitated discussions among esteemed panellists and participants, fostering a robust exchange of ideas and insights.

The Southeast Asia Bioethics Network hosted a two-day workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, on 20 and 21 February 2024, focusing on the critical ethical dimensions surrounding migration health in Southeast Asia. Bringing together participants from diverse fields and backgrounds, the workshop provided an essential platform to delve into emerging healthcare issues among mobile and marginalised populations.

In a momentous two-day workshop hosted at The Danna Resort in Langkawi, Kedah, Malaysia, on the 9th and 10th of October 2023, the Southeast Asia Bioethics Network took a significant stride toward its formation. Gathering 26 experts from various Southeast Asian countries, the workshop served as a cornerstone for the creation of a collaborative platform for bioethics in the region, leading to the formulation of SEA Bioethics Network's Vision, Mission and Values.

The inaugural webinar on "Bioethics in Southeast Asia: Ideals and Challenges," held on 27 July 2023 and organised by the Southeast Asia Bioethics Network, convened esteemed panellists and participants to explore the complexities of bioethical research in the region.
