Dr Wan Jun Ng is a palliative care physician practising in Sabah whose clinical work regularly involves complex decisions around withholding and withdrawing life-sustaining treatment in resource-limited settings. These experiences have shaped her commitment to strengthening clinical ethics capacity in underserved regions. Through the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Ethics at the Alden March Bioethics Institute, Albany Medical College, she is advancing her expertise in ethical decision-making, ethics education, and the development of clinical ethics support systems. She hopes to contribute to regional efforts in establishing clinical ethics committees, facilitating training initiatives, and fostering collaboration with international bioethics practitioners to improve patient care and reduce moral distress among healthcare professionals.
