Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Nga is an ASEAN Peace Builder Scholar and Salzburg Global Fellow with Master S degrees in Transdisciplinary Social Development (Ateneo de Manila University, Philippines) and International Law and Human Rights (United Nations University for Peace, Costa Rica). With over 20 years of experience in international development and program management, she focuses on inclusive and community-led solutions. As Senior Public and Community Engagement Coordinator at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit, Vietnam, Nga leads two major projects: Vaccine Communication Training Project and the CONNECT website, working alongside healthcare workers, researchers, and engagement practitioners. Her current research addresses urgent ethical challenges in Southeast Asia by exploring how parents balance autonomy, trust, and moral responsibility when deciding on measles vaccination. By connecting neuroethics concepts like cognitive liberty with public health communication, her work supports trust-based, culturally sensitive vaccine strategies. This contributes directly to stronger, ethical policy-making and positions the region as a leader in applied bioethics.
