Dr Reynardi Larope Sutanto is a junior researcher at the Bioethics Cluster, Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI), with an MD from Universitas Indonesia. With origins rooted in a small city in eastern Indonesia, he brings a strong commitment to addressing health disparities through ethical inquiry. His academic interests lie at the intersection of clinical medicine, public health, and social justice, with focus on how structural and cultural factors shape healthcare delivery.
His current research examines ethical issues in maternal healthcare across rural and urban settings in Indonesia. By combining field-based research with ethical analysis, he aims to support the development of policies that are both practically grounded and ethically sound. Through continued opportunities to learn and contribute, he aspires to advance the field of bioethics, ensuring that the voices of marginalized communities inform future reforms in healthcare systems across the region.
