Anak Agung, a general practitioner and teaching assistant at the faculty of medicine, has navigated through significant challenges during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a healthcare provider, he faced the stark reality of overwhelming demand outstripping available resources. This imbalance often forced difficult decisions regarding resource allocation, leading to moral dilemmas that tested his ethical compass in patient care.

Through these experiences, he came to understand that the challenges transcended mere healthcare logistics, touching upon broader societal, economic, environmental, and ethical dimensions. It was in this crucible of healthcare crisis that he found solace and guidance in bioethics. Bioethics provided him with a framework to navigate the intricate ethical landscapes inherent in healthcare decision-making, offering clarity amidst uncertainty.

Driven by a profound passion for bioethics, he seeks to delve deeper into its applications beyond healthcare. His interest extends to exploring how bioethical principles can influence and shape various aspects of human life, resonating across diverse spheres of societal and professional endeavors.
