She is a medical doctor with a background in public health and research ethics. She earned her  medical degree in Vientiane in 2001 and a Master’s in Agricultural and Life Sciences from Saga University, Japan, in 2012. Since 2003, she worked at the Lao Tropical and Public Health Institute and now serve as Head of the Department of Coordination and Research-Information Management at the Ministry of Health. She also leads the Secretariat of the National Ethics Committee for Health Research. 

Together with her team, she is leading a study on the assessment of ethically approved Standard Operating Procedures in Lao PDR. This research aims to strengthen the ethical conduct of health studies by identifying gaps between protocol approval and field implementation. The findings will help improve participant protection, enhance researcher capacity, and boost the credibility of Lao health research, paving the way for stronger international collaboration and better health outcomes.
