Professional Growth Fellowship Grants

The Professional Growth Fellowship Grants support scholars, researchers, professionals and people interested in bioethics to advance their professional growth within Southeast Asia. Activities may include organising workshops or conferences, participating in training or continuing education programmes, and taking an important role in collaborative events.

Proposed activities should contribute to the recipient's development while offering potential benefits to the wider Southeast Asian bioethics community.

Applicants may come from any discipline, including philosophy, law, medicine, social sciences and humanities. Applicants must:

• Hold a doctoral degree; a master's degree with at least three years of research or work experience; or an undergraduate degree with at least five years of research or work experience.
• Be a national or permanent resident of a Southeast Asian country, or work in a Southeast Asian country.
• Be accepted by an appropriately experienced supervisor affiliated with an academic institution or organisation.
• Not receive funding from another source for the same fellowship activity.

Recipients are expected to:

• Submit a progress report six months after the fellowship begins.
• Submit a final report within three months after the fellowship ends, with relevant supporting material.
• Include the required SEA Bioethics Network and Wellcome Trust funding acknowledgement in resulting work.

2. Obtain a letter of acceptance from a supervisor and a letter of recommendation from a referee.
3. Upload the completed documents through the application form.
4. Submit before the closing date; late submissions will not be considered.
