Giang Nguyen Exploring challenges of frontline workers in health research in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam Giang Nguyen have been working in the Public Engagement group at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit since 2018. My background is in social work, with a focus on the Medical Social Work field. He started getting involved in research with medical social workers in 2016. Since 2017, he have worked with healthcare workers (HCWs), patients, and their carers on issues related to mental health, reducing stress, and anxiety. Recently, he have been involved in a study engaging with hard-to-reach communities at risk of Hepatitis C. This research explores the challenges faced by frontline workers in health research in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The research outcomes contribute by providing evidence of the challenges faced by frontline workers, identifying solutions, and offering policy recommendations for infectious disease research institutions and hospitals in Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region in fostering a supportive work environment, and finally, enhancing the research effectiveness.
